J. Michael Edwards, Founding Principal & CEO
Mr. Edwards has extensive, comprehensive background in the deregulated energy industry,
stemming from active industry participation since 1988. A highly accomplished energy sales,
marketing, and business development professional who has sold more than $300 million in
natural gas and energy services to natural gas distributors, electric utilities, and to more than
200 corporations. Personally developed hundreds of distributed generation and combined heat
and power projects. Organized and implemented the marketing and sales effort for three of the
nation’s largest energy services companies. Experienced in developing strategic plans for some
of the largest names in the industry, both as a consultant and employee. Michael has an MBA
from the University of St. Thomas and a BBA from Baylor University.
Steve Yeater, Executive Vice President
Mr. Yeater joined the Power Recruiting Group after 24 years in the public and private sectors.
An Air Force veteran, Steve is a graduate of the Electrical Power Production Craftsman
technical school and served in various power production capacities throughout the world,
including the Azores, Turkey, Korea, Alaska, and on various bases in the continental United
States. After retiring from the Air Force, Steve joined Hess Microgen, LLC, where he built the
service group responsible for maintaining 140kW to 1.8 MW cogeneration power plants. In
2003 he was named Director of Projects, heading up large and complex projects. After leaving
Hess, he brought his considerable expertise to PRG. He resides with his wife Theresa, sons
James and Cody, and canine companion Dakota in Dayton, Nevada, where he also coaches
youth sports.
