Sales Manager - Southern California
Our Client is a proven, single-source provider of clean power solutions. The power division of this
fortune 50 company is able to draw on the expertise of some of the more established divisions,
including the industry leaders in fuel cell technology and building heating, cooling and control systems.
We are seeking an energetic, aggressive, technical sales professional in the Southern California area.
Sales managers are responsible for the identification of leads within target markets and the effective
delivery of the client’s value proposition including efficiency and savings, power reliability and
sustainability. Sales managers are also responsible for developing strategies to grow sales and
maximize market coverage. Specific responsibilities include:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Expand existing relationships to maximize sales while exploring additional cross-selling
opportunities
- Identify target account list within defined market segments
- Call on national accounts, construction and A&E firms to build awareness for company products,
establish high-level relationships, and propose and close equipment and service sales.
- Identify and develop strategic accounts and other channel partners (e.g., energy service
providers, equipment OEMs, deregulated utilities) for resale of the client's products.
- Provide customer feedback to the applications group to be incorporated into product offerings
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree required. Technical background preferred.
- The incumbent should have a minimum of 5-10 years successful direct sales experience with
highly technical products- preferably in on-site power generation or HVAC systems.
- Strong presentation skills are required.
- Successful record of sales to national accounts strongly preferred.
- "C-level" sales experience also strongly preferred.
