Sales Manager - Turbine Systems - Western Europe

The primary area of focus for the position is the Western European commercial and industrial markets.  
Achieve annual sales goals by driving specific vertical markets/accounts and managing regional
distributors.  Help develop our corporate strategy and successfully implement it to drive considerable
revenue growth. Work closely with all key sales channels and position our solutions with key customers
to drive revenue today and in the future.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify key prospects, complete needs assessments, generate and qualify leads, organize
    proposals and scope of work, negotiate pricing and other terms and conditions and finalize
    contracts.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Market / sell turbine products, services & solutions.
  • Develop sales plans to meet / exceed established quotas.
  • Routinely track and communicate to executive management sales prospects, competitive threats,
    revenue/profit expectations, etc.
  • Participate in promotional events where prospective customers meet – conferences, trade
    shows, speakers bureaus & community relations programs. Deliver high energy, creative,
    graphical, high technology, and professional presentations within any of these settings.
  • Assist Operations/Engineering/Business Development in the development of sales tools and
    templates needed to aid sales efforts (e.g. proposal documents, costing/pricing sheets and
    contract templates).
  • Provide input to Business Development on new product features based on market input and
    assist marketing in the development of presentations, white papers, return on investment
    documents and other sales literature.
  • Manages and supports existing Distributors and/or engage new Distributors or disengage from
    under-performing Distributors.
  • Influence funding agencies that can provide economic incentives for distributed generation
    projects.
  • Educate/inform key influencers in their project decision-making process.

    and external customers.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business,
  • Progressive sales experience (5+ years minimum) through distributors, dealers, or direct
    channels.  Experience in selling various types of long term, high value, capital equipment or
    engineering services contracts is required,
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of power generation systems, processes, applications,
    decision makers, influencers, and buyers is required,
  • Knowledge of distributed energy industry and the emerging trends is a plus.
  • Fluency in German a plus.
